Thought for Today: Intention

Added on November 12, 2013

The Dalai Lama Says: “We should regularly turn our minds within and investigate whether we are sincere or not, irrespective of what others may think. From our own point of view we should principally rely on the two powers (mindfulness and introspection) and while we should be careful to create no cause for regret or embarrassment, we should obviously be discreet and well-mannered whether we are in public or at home. If we act in this way, happiness will naturally be ours.”

Intention is all-important. Introspection allows us to consider what is our intention in each thing we do. We don’t always have control over outcomes but we can take ownership of our intention.
