WOULD YOU LIKE TO LEARN HOW TO RELAX, MANAGE STRESS AND STRONG EMOTIONS WHENEVER YOU WANT?
WOULD YOUR LIFE BE BETTER IF YOU COULD SOMETIMES JUST STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES?
Come and Learn Mindfulness Meditation

Mindfulness is about being present with wherever is, whether it’s pleasant or not. It’s about refining one’s attention and awareness to take in the moment to moment existence of one’s life. In this way, mindfulness allows us to slow down from the frenetic pace in which most of us live to a more manageable level. By practicing non-judgment, we can learn how to savour what is good in our lives and be more accepting of what isn’t. After all, judgment of a situation doesn’t change what is. Mindfulness can open us up to the possibilities that exist in each moment of our lives, to experience the fullness and uniqueness of each moment. Practiced regularly, mindfulness can help us to work more productively and live more harmoniously.
Meditation is a way of practising self-awareness that enhances personal insight and taps into the innate potential for self-healing that we all have. It is a state of heightened focus or awareness; it mobilizes and develops our ability for self-compassion as well as compassion for others, helping to improve self-esteem and providing a general feeling of relaxed well-being. Although many think that meditation is about sitting and doing nothing, as Jon Kabot-Zinn says it is really about “non-doing”, ie a focused and concentrated state of being just there, in that moment, and nowhere else.
Meditation has also been shown to help manage pain and anxiety, lessen mind-chatter and enhance the natural healing process of the body and mind.
Learning to meditate is like learning to swim: anyone can be taught how to swim. But to swim well and experience the health benefits requires regular practice and persistance. So it is with meditation. The practice is a simple one but not easy, so persistence is important. It’s also helpful to talk regularly to a teacher and to experience regular group meditations to support your individual practice.
Our 4-week course is designed for non-meditators, occasional meditators or “once were” meditators who wish to enhance their sense of well-being by mastering simple techniques to lower stress and anxiety, but may also be suitable for existing meditators who want to review their knowledge and refine their practice.
In addition, we have a monthly group meditation to encourage and support continued practice.
Enjoy the benefits of learning to meditate in a small group. You will find that the group discussions are as valuable as the instruction, as you learn about how each person responds to the opportunities and challenges of learning this new skill and incorporating it in their lives.
In this course you will learn:
- Why your body responds the way it does when you feel stressed
- How to tune in to the warning signs of stress and increase your resilience
- How to incorporate mindfulness and positivity into every day life
- How to improve your sleep, deal with pain and strong emotions through the simplicity of Mindfulness Meditation
- How to choose a positive outlook towards all of life’s challenges
Thank you, once again, Judith. You were a great teacher. I think everyone appreciated the attention you gave to each individual both before and after the class in your own time. You were very accommodating to all participants.
The course covered many examples of Mindfulness Meditation and therefore if each person were able to leave the course with just one or two exercises that they found useful then this would be a good outcome for all. I would definitely recommend the course and am likely to return in the near future.
